HOME EDUCATION
Our Home Education days are a new addition to our programmes at Tokes Farm in response to a growing need for alternative provision to mainstream education in the local area.
We have been running these sessions since late September 2020. We are offering two days a week, every Tuesday during term time for 5-7 yr olds and every Wednesday during term time for 8-12 yr olds. We start the sessions at 9.30 am and end at 3 pm. Parents drop their children off, equipping the children with a snack, packed lunch and weather appropriate clothes. We have a maximum of 15 children per group.
Our days look a little something like this:
9.30 am - Welcome and introductions
10 am - Feeding round of the animals and any seasonal extras related to the animals
11 am - Snack and play
11.30 am - Working in the Market Garden
1 pm - Lunch and play
1.45 pm - Story
2 pm - Seasonal work in the woodland and/or seasonal crafts ending with playing in the straw bales
2.45 pm - Goodbye and reflections of the day
3 pm - Parents arrive for home time
